Jacqueline Bouvier is Marge Simpson's mother, and therefore the grandmother to the Simpson children. She has made varried appearances throughout the course of the show. Like her daughters Patty and Selma, she disapproves of Marge's lifestyle, particularly Homer. Like her elder daughters, she is pessimistic and smokes a lot.

Jacqueline had various love affairs. She dated Abraham Simpson, but then became engaged to Mr. Burns. Eventually, she decided to remain single.
