Ali Baba is a character in the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.

History

To save Scheherazade's own life she start telling the story of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves for Shahryār. She start telling Shahryār at Ali Baba and his brother is sons of a merchant who traded in camels and spices, before Shahryār interrupted her, and showed that he intends to behead her if not the story gets better. Scheherazade continued to read her story with telling at when Bab was out for a walk was set upon by a thief. Shahryār was not happy so she changes it to two and later a million thieves, but Shahryār tell her at it was to many so he change it to forty thieves and continued to tell her story.
