Fernando is a commercial airline pilot, seen as captain on flight from USA to Rio de Janeiro,Brazil.

History

As the plane approaches Rio de Janeiro he always says "The local temperature in Rio de Janiero is hot, hot, hot with a 100% chance of passion". The Co-pilot of the plane is tired of the joke but recalls that joke was why he fell in love with him.

He later crashed a plane into the Simpson's house.

He was piloting the Air Brasilia plane the second time the Simpsons went to Brazil and got offended that Marge was learning Portuguese on the way.
