The trucker is one of the truckers who tried to stop Homer from giving away their scam. He attempts to stop Homer by jumping on his hood to smash his windshield, but he gets sprayed off.
History[edit]
After Homer decided to drive Red Barclay's shipment to Atlanta, he and Bart were behind schedule, needing to drive 2200 miles in 10 hours. In order to get there on time, Homer took a bottle of pep pills so he could drive all night. However, because he had also taken a bottle of sleeping pills to "balance it all out", he eventually fell asleep at the wheel. The truck then proceeded to drive itself, stopping Homer and Bart from driving through a guard rail and down a cliff.
As he awoke next morning at a truck stop he related his amazing tale to two truckers. Not surprised in the least, the truckers explained to Homer that the Navitron Autodrive Systems installed in the trucks allow the vehicles to drive themselves. The two men then threaten Homer to keep quiet and not spill their secret.
Despite Homer's promise, their secret still gets out and the truckers chase Homer down in their trucks. One of the truckers jumps on Homer's hood, preparing to smash his windshield, but Homer sprays him with wiper fluid and he falls off, to which Bart remarks "Look at him roll!"
The truck drivers eventually form a blockade. Homer manages to get past them, though, and speeds off to Atlanta. As he disappears into the distance, one of the truckers suggests that they stop using the Autodrive systems and go back to using their hands and wits. The others quickly decide against it, instead agreeing to smuggle Beanie Babies as their new scam.
