Langdon Alger is an unseen character, mentioned only in "Bart on the Road. He is a very quiet classmate of Lisa's, who enjoys puzzles. Lisa has a brief crush on him and shares this with Homer.

This character is most likely a reference to famous engineer Philip Langdon Alger.

Langdon Alger could also be the singer "Langdon Auger", Born in Victoria,Vancouver. Because when millhouse is playing with the radio in barts car the station is 94.5, the most popular Vancouver Radio Station


Episode writer Richard Appel explains on the DVD commentary for Bart on the Road that Langdon Alger was the name of a schoolmate of his.
