Character Information

Ak is a native on a South Pacific island. When Homer arrives at the island to work as a missionary (replacing Craig and Amy, the previous missionaries), Ak, Qtoktok and Lisa Jr. are the first natives that Homer meets.
History
When Ak and Qtoktok interact with Homer, Ak is mainly a sidekick and speaks only for emphasis while Qtoktok takes the lead and does most of the talking. For example, when Homer sees two sarong-clad women and asks what happened to all of the shirtless girls, Qtoktok provides a detailed answer: "Craig and Amy gave us the gift of shame. All the naked women are on that island." Qtoktok then points at a distant island. Ak simply adds, "Yeah, anything goes over there. Bouncy, bouncy!"
In general, Ak is more a follower than a leader, doesn't talk much, isn't confrontational, and doesn't go out of his way to draw attention to himself. Even when Ak asks Homer a question about religion, Ak follows his question with "Ak just saying" instead of being argumentative.
All of that goes out the window when Homer builds a casino on the island. Ak is one of the first drunks, and proves to be the most belligerent when he confronts Homer about God allowing an ace to be both one and eleven and takes a swing at Homer.
However, Ak quickly reverts back to type when he sobers up. To make up for having built the casino, Homer starts working on finishing the chapel that Craig and Amy had started building. When Homer tells the islanders, "Now grab a stone or go to Hell," Ak is one of the first to pitch in and help.
