The Fight Club

The Fight Club were a group of detention students whom Gary Chalmers supervised when he was a teacher.

History

Chalmers referred to the group of students as "The Breakfast Club". However, the students informed him that he was in the wrong room and they were actually The Fight Club. The students then ganged up on Chalmers and beat him up.

Behind the Laughter

  • The group's name is a reference to the 1999 movie Fight Club.
  • Chalmers' misidentification of the group is a reference to the 1985 movie The Breakfast Club.
  • The students in the group resemble the student characters from The Breakfast Club.
  • The song playing in the background when the students beat up Chalmers is "Don't You (Forget About Me)", which was on the soundtrack for The Breakfast Club.
