The tabloid editor is an unnamed tabloid editor.
History[edit]
When the Simpsons were looking at a family album, Bart spotted Duffman and Booberella in the background of one of the photos. The two celebrities were having a secret date in a restaurant and Lisa mentioned that Duffman was supposed to be in a "stable long-term gay relationship". Marge told Homer they could sell the photo of the celebrity scandal to a tabloid and make some money. Homer went to The Springfield Inquisitor where he met this tabloid editor and was given $200 for the photo. The editor also encouraged Homer to become a paparazzi, as he would pay more money for more good quality celebrities photos.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The way the tabloid editor acts is a reference to Marvel's comics character J. Jonah Jameson, which is portrayed by J. K. Simmons in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films. Simmons voiced this character as well.
