Marvel is a comic company that has also spawned several TV shows and movies. Stan Lee co-created many of their classic characters. Some of the characters have appeared in The Simpsons and Marvel has been referenced other times in the show.

The employee then falls to the floor in pain and says "Hulk smash", to which Dr. Hibbert patted him on the head and said "yes, Hulk smash".
504 "Beware My Cheating Bart" Comic Book Guy tells Bart and Shauna to think of The Android's Dungeon as their personal Asgard and to think of him as their all-seeing Heimdall, guardian of the Gate, a reference to the Thor comics.
