Ben-Hur is a novel by Lew Wallace, adapted to film several times and of whom the 1959 epic movie by William Wyler starring Charlton Heston is the most iconic. The picture has been referenced a few times in The Simpsons.

185 "The Two Mrs. Nahasapeemapetilons" As Homer and Jasper race down the hallway in their wheelchairs, their wheels rub up against each other, just like in the chariot race in "Ben-Hur."
