Springfield City Zoo is a zoo in Springfield.

History

When Apu and Manjula had their Octuplets, Larry Kidkill offered them an exhibit in the Zoo to help take some of the childcare responsibilities away from them. They accepted this and moved into an exhibit with a nursery. What they didn't realize was that the babies were contracted to perform in stage shows, which Apu and Manjula disliked. Apu and Homer then went to the zoo at night to take the babies back. Larry Kidkill caught them and Homer offered himself as an exhibit in place of the Octuplets.[1]

When Bart turned into a black panther he was sent to live at the zoo.[4]

On a school trip, Bart wanted to prove he was still a bad boy, so he took on a dare by Sherri, Terri and Nelson to write his name inside one of the cages. While climbing in, his clothes ripped off and he became trapped inside. Milhouse and Principal Skinner also became trapped while trying to rescue him, until they were all freed by a zookeeper.[3]
