"Homer's plan for a Christmas present for his father backfires when, upon calling to let Grampa know they're going to do his estate planning for him, his father informs him that it's already been done. When Homer and Marge read through the will, they discover a vacation home neither of them knew anything about, so Homer decides to go check it out, dragging the family along with him as a "Christmas vacation." But when they arrive, they discover that this vacation home is nothing more than a basic log cabin with no amenities to speak of, and the vacation looks like it'll be a total bust. But the family pulls together, much to everyone's surprise, and manage to have a relaxing week out in the woods.
