Trivia[edit]

  • Homer's Mechanic states that Homer's car was built in Croatia, made from Soviet tanks,[2] though the Pink Sedan is too big to be a European car, so this is why it is a Plymouth. It was made smaller in The Simpsons Movie. The Pink Sedan's design was possibly inspired by the 1966 Fiat 1500 L. (Especially by the bended headlights, vaguely Cadillac-like taillights and smaller body).
  • Although Homer cashes in this car to buy the Canyonero in "Marge Simpson in: "Screaming Yellow Honkers"", it somehow reappears.
  • In "Homer Loves Flanders", the Plymouth is green.
  • This car is a drivable vehicle in The Simpsons Road Rage and The Simpsons: Hit & Run, as a convertible, as well as being open top.
  • The day Homer bought it has not been shown in the series, but he did own a different car while in high school.
  • The car is sometimes drawn with side-view mirrors, sometimes not.
  • Usually the license plate is left blank, but when it does have lettering, it varies (see License Plates on The Simpsons). On the old intro, it was a coupe and it was a 1963 Dodge Dart.
  • In "The War of the Simpsons" there are two Pink Sedans, Homer and Marge go to the marriage retreat in the Sedan yet Grampa drives the same car back in Springfield.
