August 16th Update (4.22.0; "4_22_SciFi")
- The app icon and splash screen were changed to new ones for the event.
- The town center was moved to the PolyVac.
- The unreleased Rocket to Your Doom and Flower Hedge (as Holo-Flower Hedge) were released.
- Super Collider's build time is now 6 seconds instead of 8 hours.
- A glitch changing the Players Club Tower from the selected skin was fixed.
- A new decorations group, Vehicles, was added, comprehending all vehicles.
- The Funzos were added back to the Funzos character group.
- Daily Challenges were added for the event.
- The Black Hole is no longer unique and now has a 0.25% Bonus $ and XP and placing it yields 10.
- Placing Cremo Bot now yields 30 instead of 300.
- All the Height values of characters have been removed.
- New characters have been added to the Open Air Stage: Mooch Bart and Rockstar Maggie.
- Homer's job Plant Shift now requires Population Control Pt. 6 to be started to appear on his job list.
- Jockey Bart, Toreador Grampa, Tennis Marge, Kung Fu Comic Book Guy and Ballet Ralph's jobs are now all premium.
- A new column of land was added.
- Homer's dialogue in A Rail of One City Pt. 8 "No clue, but I built my own Monorail out of cardboard. If you need me I'll be over here pretending to drive it." was removed.
- The Fracker, The Scout Master, Citizen Solar, Wind Lad and Milo were changed from Regular Characters and Male to Premium Characters and Male character groups.
- Placing Portal to Rigel 7 now yields 75 instead of 100.
- Building Re-Neducation Center yields 80 instead of 200, takes 6 seconds instead of 4 hours and its task is now premium.
- Building Efcot Center now yields 70 instead of 10 and its task is now premium.
- A new button was added to Get Help in the game. Hitting it takes you to the EA help site.
- The Kwik-E-Mart and Kill-E-Mart changed appearance.
- A new icon was added to the friend list screen to manage your account and send friend invites.
- Due to a glitch the price for secondary Kwik-E-Mart is stuck at 220.
- Control Building can't be stored or sold for the duration of the event.
August 18th Update ("4_22_SciFi_Patch1_PostLaunch")
- The decoration limit was raised to 8900.
- Springfield Hyperstadium and Rockstar Maggie's promo picture was resized to be bigger.
- The glitched text causing the price for secondary Kwik-E-Mart getting stuck at 220 was fixed.
- Homer's job Collect Junk at the Springfield Dump now requires A Rail Of One City Pt. 5 or Railing On, instead of just A Rail of One City Pt. 5, fixing it missing.
- The buttons to teleport to Teleport Zeta and Tetha now requires the items to be bought to show up.
- The language for help for Brazilian Portugues was fixed.
August 22nd Update 1 (Server Update)
- The SciFi Campaign was activated.
August 22nd Update 2 ("4_22_SciFi_Patch2_PostLaunch")
- In What's the Matter Pt. 6, Stephen Hawking's task name to Force Hawking Drive His Wheel Chair Up and Down Stairs was changed to Force Hawking to Drive His Wheel Chair Up and Down Stairs.
- Stephen Hawking's job name Create a Simulation of Himself was changed to Wonder if He's a Simulation.
- Big Digi-Ben's price was changed from 110 Donuts to 115.
- Future-Proofed Home's price was changed from 40 Donuts to 45.
- Rocket to Your Doom's price was changed from 70 Donuts to 80.
- Springfield Hyperstadium's price was changed from 150 Donuts to 160.
- Holo-Bundle's price was changed from 60 Donuts to 70.
- Future Monument's price was changed from 30 Donuts to 35.
- Give Apes the Vote Billboard's price was changed from 10 Donuts to 15.
- Elysium Project's job Insuring Against Flood now rewards 100 Event Currency and 15 XP.
- Elysium Project is now available from August 23rd to September 20th instead of from September 13th to September 20th.

- Holo-Bench, Holo-Boardwalk Tree, Holo-Exotic Tree, Holo-Lamp Post, Holo-Rose Bush and the 8 Holo-Trees included in the Holo-Bundle now has a Bonus $ and XP of 0.05%.
- Springfield Hyperstadium and Rockstar Maggie's Gil Promo now ends on September 3rd instead of August 30th.
- Elysium Project's job Insuring Against Flood can't be rushed anymore.
- Fixed some SciFi quests jobs not available once a certain objective is active.
- The Mooch Who Knew Too Much Pt. 2 is now started by Mooch Bart instead of Bart.
September 1st Update 1 ("4_22_SciFi_Patch4_PostLaunch")
- At the Go-Kart Track, the chances of winning 2-1 was changed from 56.51% to 66.01%, 9-1 from 33.15% to 20%, 19-1 from 7.83% to 10% and 49-1 from 2.52% to 4%.
- The money obtained from winning 49-1 at the Go-Kart Track was changed from 2,500,000 to 250,000.
- The Monorail Tunnels are now not placable one after the other without accessing inventory menu, solving a bug that allowed mountains to be removed.
- The glitch that allowed infinite currency from tapping the Big-Digi Ben on friend towns was fixed.
- Robot Parts and Future Bucks now won't appear in the HUD till one is collected.
September 1st Update 2 (Server Update)
- The event currency reward for SciFighter has changed. The base payout is now 100 instead of 50, the Completion reward is now 45 instead of 30 and the Reward per second is now 5 instead of 3.

- The app icon and splash screen were changed back to normal.
- The Daily Challenge's task "Make Cletus Catach A 'Possum" was corrected to "Make Cletus Catch A 'Possum".
- A new character group was added, Krustyland Goers: Sherri and Terri, Bart, Homer, Lisa, Marge, Skinner, Cletus, Krusty, Comic Book Guy, Wiggum, Milhouse, Hans Moleman, Squeaky Voice Teen, Martin, Kearney, Nelson, Mrs. Krabappel, Sideshow Mel, Lenny, Carl, Lou, Eddie, Gina Vendetti and Jessica Lovejoy.
- Grind Pack Values doesn't change after levelling up past Level 60 anymore.
- Mooch Bart and Rockstar Maggie's jobs at the Open Air Stage now requires the character to be unlocked to show in the menu.
- Springfield Heights inventory and store categories no longer shows the Help button, that was over the currency indicators.
- Steven Hawking can now Attend Mensa Meeting.
- The quest-related temporary Ride Krusty's Giant Wheel can now be done only by Krustyland Goers instead of all Springfielders.
- Quest Scratch the Itch now requires Put Up a Parking Lot not to be active or Pave Paradise to be active and Scratchers and New Scracther to not be active.
- Dilapidated Rail Yard is now switched correctly to Rail Yard once the quest is complete instead of having to place the Rail Yard again.
- Evil Homer was removed from the Census.
- SciFi quests' Kill Date was added: October 10th at 7am GMT.
- Mooch Bart and Lenny's job Print 3D Résumés was changed from 2 hours to 3.
- Lampwick's job Watch TV at the Home of Tomorrow is now permanent and lasts 4 hours instead of 8.
- SciFighter is now permanent and rewards XP, and Smart Devices or Junk (if Monorail was started).
- A new text pops up on installing the update, regarding the permanent SciFighter game: "Continue scrapping bots in SciFighter to earn Rewards!".
- If the cap for Smart Devices or Junk is reached, the text "You're at the cap for one or more resources and won't receive rewards for them. Are you sure?" pops up with confirmation buttons below when starting SciFighter.
- Flying Car can't be placed on the ocean anymore.
- Robot and Drone pet were activated in the shop.
- Big Digi-Ben's clock now shows the real life's time and its job was changed to "Installing a 40th Step".
- Elysium Project's job now earns 300 and 30.
- Daily Challenges timer has been readded.
