The upgraded Mystery Box.

Mystery Box Upgrade is the eightieth content update for The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was released April 1, 2015. It introduced the new Mystery Box to the game.

• Lard Lad Donuts, Lemon Tree, Chalmers' 1979 _ONDA, Minnow Pond, Squeaky Voice Teen, Kearney, Tire Fire, Channel 6 News Van, Bomb Shelter, Khlav Kalash Stand, Blue Haired Lawyer and Itchy & Scratchy Billboard now require the tutorial to be completed to show up in the store.
• Bonsai Vivant Pt. 3 and Repot A Bonsai no longer opens Inventory upon completion.
• Testify Pt. 3, When Worlds Collide Pt. 1, Easy A Pooniversity Pt. 6 and Egoin' Crazy Pt. 5 no longer opens the Build menu upon completion.
• A new type of Mystery Boxes has been introduced.

• A new way to buy Moneys with Donuts has been added.
• Videos icon have been added to Inventory.
• Superheroes event videos has been translated to other languages and has been added to the list of Videos.
• Rad Mobile has been added to the Leisure and Decorations menu.
• Bartman Cave and Beach House has been added to Buildings menu.
• Radioactive Man Statue is now storable and now has a task Remembering A Hero, yielding 150 and 13 every 8 hours.
• Tree-hugging decorations were restored to the old look.
• The splash screen and the music are back to the neutral ones.
• Text boxes and System Messages returned to the normal look, except for ones for the event questlines (including characters').
• Homer Buddha has been disabled.
• Daily Play Combo icons changed to reflect the new ones in the Grind Packs and the final prize has been changed to the Upgraded Mystery Box.

New costs[edit]

• Kwik-E-Marts, Brown Houses, White Houses, Purple Houses, Krusty Burgers, Blue Houses, Pink Houses, Orange Houses and Gulp 'N' Blows now costs an increased amount of money depending on how many the user has.
