Fortnite is an online video game released in 2017. The game has seven different game modes, the most popular being Fortnite Battle Royale.

A The Simpsons themed mini-season started on November 1, 2025 at 20:30 GMT and ended on November 29, 2025 at 19:00 GMT.

Teasers and announcement

Official teasers started on October 24, 2025 when a cel-shaded tree started growing, which later turned into Bart's treehouse on October 26. Inside the treehouse was a Simpsons-style television that shows multiple clips, including the technical difficulties screen from "Treehouse of Horror VI" and Homer backing into the hedge in "Homer Loves Flanders". Kang and Kodos also had a small chance to appear before a match started. Other teasers feature El Barto-vandalized artwork and logos.

On October 27, 2025, an official teaser trailer was posted to The Simpsons' Twitter account featuring Kang and Kodos attacking characters in their UFO. Another trailer was released on YouTube on October 31, 2025.

Live Event

The live event started on November 1, 2025 at 15:00 GMT. It took place at Bart's treehouse.

Jonesy and Hope arrive at Bart's Treehouse to try and stop a tentacle monster from emerging. Meanwhile, Kang and Kodos are flying around in their UFO. The live event then goes into the first Fortnite x The Simpsons short, "Apocalypse D'oh!".

A trailer for The Simpsons mini-season then plays, parodying the opening sequence of the show.

Weekly Fortnite x The Simpsons shorts aired on Disney+ and YouTube, starting on November 1, 2025, with the final one airing on November 24, 2025.

Springfield Stories

Springfield Stories is a questline within Fortnite for the season.

Quest Description Visit three different named locations Visit three major map locations. Destroy five signs changed by Homer. Find signs with a purple outline and destroy five of them. Emote near a boss to try to talk to them Find the NPC Evil Homer, Witch Marge, or Krusty the Clown and emote near them. Deal 250 damage to a boss Deal damage to a boss with any weapon. Convince Homer to give up the power Find Homer at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant and speak to him. Visit the Kwik-E-Mart and complete the delivery and Visit the Town Hall and raise your concerns Purchase a Super Squishee from the Kwik-E-Mart Squishee machine and drive through all the rings back to the Power Plant. Then go to the Town Hall and destroy 25 objects before they call the police. Enter the Simpsons' House to search for answers Find all items around the house with clue icons above them Confront Homer and Report back to Hope Go speak to Homer at the Power Plant again then find Hope at the Donut District.

Lost and Found Quests

Character Objective Homer Drive certain distances in a vehicle. Marge Collect several items. Either the same items or items of a certain rarity. Bart Damage enemies or break objects Lisa Find her lost textbooks scattered around the nearest named location. Exclamation marks on the mini-map show where they are.

Hidden gag quests

There are 12 hidden gags around Springfield Island. They are:

Gag Description Knock the head off the Statue of Jebediah Springfield Shoot at the head of the statue in Springfield Town Square to knock it off. Spray Springfield with El Barto tags In every named location, walls with spray can icons can be found. Open the emote wheel and tag the wall with the El Barto spray. Step on a rake Find a rake and step on it. Release the hounds Press the button on Mr. Burns' desk to release Dober Man NPCs who will fight other players. Dislodge the Lard Lad donut Shoot at the Lard Lad Donuts statue's donut to knock it off. Prank call Moe Interact with any phone. Haw-Haw! Defeating any boss NPC, Witch Marge, Evil Homer, or Krusty the Clown, will trigger Nelson to appear to laugh at them. Find Mr. Sparkle Under the dirt in the corner of the Tire Fire is a box of Mr. Sparkle detergent. Jump Springfield Gorge Use the ramp to drive over Springfield Gorge. Sit on the Simpsons' couch Sit on the couch in the Simpson House. Eat a Steamed Ham Find a platter of Steamed Hams and eat one. Catch Blinky Find a swirling fishing spot in Springfield Lake or in the ocean and catch Blinky.

Kickstart Quests

Quest Description Visit the Simpson House Visit the Simpson House. Defeat two bosses or elite guards Defeat Evil Homer, Witch Marge, Krusty the Clown, or Dober Man guards. Raise the flag at Kamp Krusty At Kamp Krusty, raise the flag to change it to Camp Bart. Secure KBBL Radio Towers two times Defeat the Dober Man guards guarding KBBL towers and deliver the keycard they drop to the radio tower twice. Damage opponents with Mr. Blasty Use Mr. Blasty to deal 1,000 points of damage. Damage Dober Men Deal 300 points of damage to Dober Man guards. Search Mr. Burns Mystery Boxes Search two Mystery Boxes scattered around the level. Travel distance while sprinting under the effects of the Super Squishee Drink a Super Squishee from a Kwik-E-Mart and sprint 250 meters while under its effects. Use the Zero Point dash four times after consuming a Blinky fish Eat a Blinky then use the Zero Point dash four times. Complete a Lost and Found quest Complete one of the Lost and Found quests.

Springfield Nuclear Power Plant meltdown

When the storm closes in and the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant is left outside, the plant starts to melt down. Go to the plant's control room and enter the sequence of buttons indicated on posters around the map to stop the meltdown and earn loot.

Weekly Quests

Completing Weekly Quests unlocks rewards in the Springfielder Peely reward track.

Discord quest

The Peely Vanish avatar decoration.

From November 2, 2025 until November 10, 2025, if the special Fortnite quest is accepted on Discord, playing Fortnite for 15 minutes unlocks a special Peely Vanish avatar decoration on Discord. The avatar features Peely backing into a bush, similar to Homer in "Homer Loves Flanders". The avatar decoration can be kept for two months.

References to Fortnite in The Simpsons

The couch gag features many characters from Fortnite, including Jonesy, Hope, Meowscles, Fishstick, and Peely. The same weekend this episode originally aired, the Simpsons mini-season started in Fortnite.

Rolling Stone couch gag

A second couch gag was released via the Rolling Stone website. This couch gag featured the Simpsons jumping out of the Battle Bus. Most of the family lands and runs into the house and onto the couch while Homer falls through the ceiling, breaking the TV.
