Season 31 is the thirty-first broadcast season of The Simpsons. It originally ran on Fox from September 29, 2019, with "The Winter of Our Monetized Content", to May 17, 2020, with "The Way of the Dog". The season was mostly made up of production season ZABF episodes, with seven rollover episodes from production season YABF also airing. Al Jean served as the showrunner for most of the season, with Matt Selman serving as the showrunner for YABF21, ZABF03, YABF17, ZABF06, ZABF08, ZABF10, and ZABF14.

In "A-Gobble-Ypto", the Simpsons are turkeys during the first Thanksgiving. In "The Fourth Thursday After Tomorrow", an A.I. version of Marge is created to cook Thanksgiving dinner for the family. Finally, in "The Last Thanksgiving", the child passengers on the Humanity's Hope accidentally create a sentient cranberry sauce monster.
