- This article is about film series. For the parody character, see James Bont.
James Bond is a popular series of spy novels written by Ian Fleming in 1954. Since 1962 they've spawned an ongoing series of films in which various actors have portrayed spy 007, with his witty remarks, seductive charms, luck at gambling and preference for cocktails which are "shaken, not stirred."
