This is a list of the Itchy and Scratchy cartoons shown on The Simpsons. Itchy & Scratchy cartoons in general are most likely a spoof of Tom and Jerry and Herman and Katnip, but the individual cartoon shorts often spoof particular topics of their own.

- The untitled Itchy and Scratchy cartoon from "There's No Disgrace Like Home" is the first appearance of Itchy & Scratchy during the regular season run. Also, it is the only time when they are seen in a Tom and Jerry-esque domestic "Cat & Mouse" setting.
- The only Itchy and Scratchy cartoons of the Treehouse of Horror series are "Candle in the Wound" and "D'oh Piercer"; however, the title for "D'oh Piercer" only contains the word "D'oh".
- The untitled Itchy and Scratchy cartoon from "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge" was also seen in "So It's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show". Bart mentions that it's one of his favorites, and Marge scolds him for not talking about Homer (who is in a coma due to one of Bart's pranks).

- It parodies the 1991 film JFK, which was directed by Oliver Stone.
- It is also a re-enactment of the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby, two days after Oswald assassinated U.S. President John F. Kennedy. The episode casts Scratchy as Oswald and Itchy as Ruby.
- In real life, a photo of the moment when Ruby's bullet hit Oswald (the point at which the screen freezes in the cartoon) became a Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph.
