"Why Do Fools Fall in Lava?" is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show. It was a very low-rated cartoon and inspired the creators of the show to seek help in improving it.
Itchy is running a bungee jump next to a volcano's lava-filled crater. Scratchy pays $5 for a jump. Itchy draws a knife, slashes Scratchy's belly open, ties his intestines to the railing, and pushes Scratchy over the railing and into the crater. Scratchy screams as he falls, but his intestines go taut and stop his fall just in time. Scratchy sighs in relief at missing the lava, but he notices something pouring out of his mouth. Scratchy then looks up to see Itchy at the railing pouring gasoline into his intestines. Scratchy puts his hands over his mouth to hold the gasoline inside, but he swells up and bursts, showering gasoline into the lava. The heat from the lava ignites the gasoline and it explodes, reducing Scratchy to cinders.
