"Flay Me to the Moon" is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show.

Plot[edit]

Scratchy is sitting in his living room reading the newspaper. A headline on the front page says "MOON LAUNCH TODAY!" Itchy appears in the window, reaches inside and grabs Scratchy's tongue. Itchy then runs to the launch pad (stretching Scratchy's tongue out as he goes) and ties it to one of the rocket's tail fins. The rocket takes off and ascends for the Moon, stretching Scratchy's tongue out to astronomical lengths. When the rocket reaches the Moon, it orbits the Moon several times and ends up tying Scratchy's tongue into a knot around the Moon, all while Scratchy remains oblivious to what's happening.

Scratchy's tongue, however, has reached its maximum and starts to snap back like a stretched-out rubber band. As it does so, it pulls the Moon out of orbit and drags it toward Earth. Meanwhile, in Scratchy's living room, Scratchy finally notices that something is wrong as his tongue reels back into his mouth. He goes to the window to investigate, looks up and sees the Moon making a rapid descent directly toward him. Scratchy screams, panics and frantically runs and hides in his closet. The Moon lands on Scratchy's house and crushes it completely, along with Scratchy inside it. In Mission Control, several mice technicians observe the impact via a video feed and celebrate Scratchy's demise by cheering loudly and popping champagne corks.
