America's Funniest Home Videos (often abbreviated AFV) is an American video clip television series that has aired on ABC since 1989. It shows viewer-submitted video clips with voice-over narration (and occasionally sound effects) added for humorous effect. At the end of each episode, the top three clips (selected by producers) are voted on by the studio audience. The winner receives $10,000, while the first and second runners-up receive $3,000 and $2,000, respectively. The show spawned two spin-offs: America's Funniest People (abbreviated AFP), which aired from 1990 to 1994; and World's Funniest Videos, which aired in 1996.
America's Funniest Home Videos has been referenced and parodied several times in Simpsons media.
