Grampa's Day is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 1999.

Synopsis[edit]

Grampa visits his family and goes shopping for them.

Plot[edit]

Grampa tells the Simpsons that he's going to pick up his pills and asks if anyone needs anything. The family are hesitant at first, but Grampa insists. Marge asks for diapers, Lisa asks for a protractor, and Homer asks for a new father who can do a simple task without lousing it up, and some beer. Grampa leaves the house and says that he'll teach them who's capable before he forgets who he is.

Grampa goes about his day where he bridges the gap with the younger generation, uses the restroom twice, takes the bus to the tire store before he runs back to the restroom, gets his pills from Dr. Hibbert, starts hallucinating because he took his pills wrong, and finally returns to the Retirement Castle. Homer then calls him to ask where his beer is. Grampa then goes to Scanties at the Springfield Mall where he gets arrested.

Grampa gets back to the Simpson house where the family finds that he doesn't have the beer, protractor, or diapers. However, Grampa says that he did get the diapers, but he's wearing them.
