Synopsis[edit]

Lisa presents various culturally appropriate versions of the same comic strip from several different countries.

Plot[edit]

As a celebration of individual peoples and customs, Lisa presents the same comic strip told in different countries and cultures.

In America, Bart is skateboarding with a corn dog. Homer drives alongside him in his car and asks if Bart can share the corn dog with him. Bart tells Homer to "get bent" and speeds off. Homer chases after him, and Marge yells at him to look out, but Homer crashes into The Corn Doggery cart. Bart asks what the moral is, and Homer says that uncontrolled anger gets results.

In Japan, Bart is rollerskating with a happy seaweed lovetime treat. Homer drives alongside him on a moped and asks if Bart can share the seaweed treat with him. Bart tells Homer to "bend yourself, loser-san" and speeds off. Homer chases after him, and Marge yells at him to look out, but Homer crashes into the Squid Pagoda stall. Bart asks what the moral is, and Homer says that uniformity has brought them riches. Bart agrees.

In Switzerland, Bart is skiing with a schnitzel. Homer drives alongside him in a truck and asks if Bart can share the schnitzel with him. Bart tells Homer to "eat a clock" and speeds off. Homer chases after him, and Marge yells at him to look out, but Homer crashes into the Happy Cuckoo Schnitzel Haus. Bart asks what the moral is, and Homer says that it's to stay out of World War II.

In England, Bart is on a scooter with a bowl of gruel. Homer drives alongside him in a small car and asks if Bart can share the gruel with him. Bart tells Homer that he'll "have to bite me" before he speeds off. Homer chases after him, and Marge yells at him to look out, but Homer crashes into the 'Nuffing but British Food stall. Bart asks what the moral is, and Homer says that he wishes he was dead.

In the Tiny South Seas Republic of Nauru, Bart is skateboarding on a makeshift skateboard with a coconut. Homer drives alongside him in a wooden car and asks if Bart can share the coconut with him. Bart tells Homer to "eat sand" but doesn't manage to speed off because Lisa interrupts the comic to tell them that they haven't studied Nauru or any of the other locations in the comics because they just cobbled together a bunch of stereotypical facts they gleaned from watching TV. Bart asks if Nauru has anything better to offer than beautiful white sand beaches and coconuts and Lisa says that it also has plenty of phosphate mines. Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa then declare that Nauru rules.
