Homer the Pooh: Chapter One is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000.

Synopsis[edit]

Homer reads a Winnie-the-Pooh story to Bart and Lisa.

Plot[edit]

Homer tells Bart and Lisa that it's time for their bedtime story, despite Lisa saying that they can already read and Bart saying that Marge banned him from reading to them four years ago when he got mad at the pigs in The Three Little Pigs and threw a chair through the window. Homer goes to read Winnie the Pooh to Bart and Lisa anyway.

In the story, Pooh got his head stuck in a jar of honey. Homer-the-Pooh then comes along and tells Pooh not to fear and tries to remove the jar from Pooh's head. Pooh tells Homer that he wishes that he could repay him in honey, but that was his last pot. Homer then goes to strangle Pooh.

In the real world, Homer has thrown another chair through the window and is in the process of strangling the lamp. Bart and Lisa discuss what they will tell the police.
