Cleanliness Is Next to Marge-liness is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2002.
Synopsis[edit]
- Marge decides to take a relaxing bath and tells the family to behave themselves while she does.
Plot[edit]
Marge tells Bart and Lisa that she's going to take a long, relaxing bath and tells everyone to take care of themselves for a little while. Bart and Lisa tell her that they'll be fine, but Homer has issues because he doesn't think he can handle Maggie starting to burp or the sink starting to leak, or vice versa. Marge tells Homer to just handle it and says that nobody should bother her unless there's an emergency.
Marge finally gets in the bath and has peace and relaxation. Homer then knocks on the door to tell her that Santa's Little Helper ran away, Lisa got arrested for an environmental protest, Bart painted Snowball II orange, and he accidentally backed the car into a fire truck. Marge comes out, annoyed that she only had five minutes of peace. Homer then tells her that someone ate the entire berry pie, and it might have been Maggie.
