Comic Story information
|
Marge's "Vacation" is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2001.
Synopsis[edit]
- Marge writes about recent family issues in her diary while appearing to lounge at the beach on vacation.
Plot[edit]
Marge is at the beach, where she is writing in her diary. She writes that she needed a day off after Maggie had the hiccups, Bart had a detention that she was made to take part in, Lisa had a spelling contest, and Homer got a third eye from a gypsy curse. Marge writes that it all worked out in the end and the family agreed to let her take some time off to relax. She continues writing, saying that she knows she should be grateful and she's gotten used to being needed all the time. She also writes that she misses the family needing her to do things for them. Homer then interrupts her writing to tell her she's been gone for a whole ten minutes, and it is revealed that the beach Marge is on is nothing but a backdrop in the backyard of the house.
