Synopsis[edit]
- Homer calls in sick to enjoy a day off work until he believes that giant ants are taking over the world.
Plot[edit]
Homer fakes having rabies and calls Smithers to tell him that he won't be in to work. As he's lying on the couch in his underwear, he hears the doorbell ring. When he looks through the peephole to see who's there, he sees what he thinks is a giant ant. However, it turns out to be a regular-sized ant, and there are two people at the door to give Homer a check for $500,000. Thinking that nobody is home, they decide to give the check to Ned Flanders instead. Meanwhile, Homer has barricaded the front door to protect himself from the giant ants. He overhears Ned being happy, and curiosity leads him to leave the house to find out why he's so happy. Homer tells Ned that the money should be his because they came to his house first, but Ned already promised to give the money to Reverend Lovejoy and the First Church of Springfield.
