Springfield Downs Race Track is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 1999.
Synopsis[edit]
- A mix-up at Springfield Downs leaves Ralph riding as a jockey in a race.
Plot[edit]
At Springfield Downs, a couple of employees are with the horse One in a Million, who is missing his jockey. Meanwhile, Chief Wiggum and Ralph are also at the track to watch the race. Ralph gets a hot chocolate, which covers his upper lip with chocolate, making it look like a mustache. One of the employees sees Ralph and mistakes him for the missing jockey and takes him to the horse. Chief Wiggum gets worried because Ralph is missing and starts to threaten the other attendees into giving him back. Meanwhile, the actual jockey realizes that his horse is being ridden by someone else.
The race starts and One in a Million is at the rear of the pack. The jockey then jumps onto the horse, which spooks the horse and causes it to run faster. One in a Million wins the race by a mile. Later, Chief Wiggum is bathing Ralph, only to realize he had actually brought the jockey home.
