Synopsis[edit]
- Lisa spends Career Day at the Springfield Pet Hospital with the Veterinarian.
Plot[edit]
Marge drops Lisa off at the Springfield Pet Hospital for Career Day. There, the Veterinarian tells her that life in the Pet E.R. isn't all fun and games and sometimes things get pretty serious. At 11 AM, Groundskeeper Willie comes in with the school snake, who has swallowed Willie's bagpipes. At 1 PM, Cletus comes in with his pig, Thelma-Louise, who got into the still drippings, causing her heart to stop. The Veterinarian, aided by Lisa, manages to restart her heart. At 5 PM, Homer comes into the E.R. because he backed the car over the garbage can and Snowball II was inside. He says that he doesn't want Lisa to find out, but is shocked to see Lisa there. Marge then arrives to take Lisa home, who is passing out from shock after seeing her injured cat, and Marge realizes that Homer is holding her old fox stole, which she thought she put into the trash. Homer throws away the fox stole as Marge tries to bring Lisa around, and the Veterinarian calls for a crash cart.
