The Flandersjammer Kids is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story.

Synopsis[edit]

Rod and Todd enlist Bart's help in doing something deceitful for Ned's birthday.

Plot[edit]

Rod and Todd look over the fence into the Simpsons' backyard and ask Bart for a favor. They need to do something deceitful but don't have much experience with that, so they want Bart to help them. Bart helps Rod and Todd paint signs saying that the church is closed due to a swine flu outbreak, along with signs giving directions to a "temporary church". Bart asks where the signs will lead, suggesting Moe's Tavern, La Maison Derrière, and Temple Beth Springfield. However, Rod and Todd have the signs lead to Flanders' house because it's Ned's birthday, and they want to surprise him with church in bed. Reverend Lovejoy is annoyed that Ned has a pulpit in his bedroom.
