Handsome Pete's Shellfish Tales is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story.

Synopsis[edit]

Handsome Pete and Captain McCallister tell the story of "The Boy Who Cried Crab."

Plot[edit]

Captain McCallister tells a tale while Handsome Pete dances in the background. In the tale, Bart tells Homer that a crab spoke to him. Homer doesn't believe Bart because he's tried to tell him that three times already. Bart swears it's true this time, so Homer decides to see if it will speak to him. However, the crab just pinches Homer's ear. While Homer chases after Bart, the crab tells the reader that this is the end of the tale of "The Boy Who Cried Crab." Captain McCallister then tells the reader that a thoughtful soul would drop a nickel into Handsome Pete's cup but adds that the reader could send a check to the newspaper instead.
