Apu's Instant Photo Booth is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 1999.
Synopsis[edit]
- Apu gets an instant photo booth from his cousin, which he installs in the Kwik-E-Mart.
Plot[edit]
Marge and Maggie go to the Kwik-E-Mart, and Apu asks Marge if she'd like to use his new instant photo booth. Marge needs a picture for her Springfield Retirement Castle volunteer badge, so she uses the booth. However, when Marge's photo is printed, she finds that she looks like an elm tree in it. Apu says that his cousin, who sent him the photo booth, runs the Kwik-E-Mart outside the Holy Temple of Baltapapua-Beshton, where they study the past lives people may have lived, and he thinks there may be a mystical connection that shows people's past lives.
Apu soon sets up the booth outside the Kwik-E-Mart, and many people in Springfield line up to have their photographs taken to find out what their past lives were. After all the customers were satisfied, Apu goes back into the store, which Jamshed was looking after while Apu was outside. Jamshed tells Apu that his cousin called and said that he accidentally loaded the machine with film from his vacation to the Capitol City Zoo and Botanical Gardens, which is why the photos of people were printed on plants and animals.
