The Beatles is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 1999.

Synopsis

A young Homer collects beetles for a school project. However, the girls at the airport mistake him and Abe for The Beatles.

Plot

At JFK International Airport in 1964, a young Homer and Abe walk through the terminal, with Homer holding a box of beetles for his school project on "Big, Ugly Bugs I Found Lying Around." At the airport, several girls are holding up signs for The Beatles, who are due to arrive at the airport. When Homer tries to show Abe his beetles, Abe knocks them out of Homer's hands, and the beetles escape. Homer tries to gather the beetles, but the girls at the airport think he means The Beatles instead.

The girls begin chasing Homer and Abe, who run into a marching band, with the fur hats landing on their heads. The girls think that they really are The Beatles, so they chase after them, and Homer and Abe dive into a car occupied by The Beatles. The car drives away, with Abe telling The Beatles that young people will listen to any caterwauling nowadays, and Homer pretending to be a walrus with drumsticks in his mouth.
