Chief Clancy Wiggum's Crimewatchers Notebook is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story.

Synopsis[edit]

Lou asks Chief Wiggum why he became a cop, not knowing that the school bullies are around.

Plot[edit]

While parked in the police car, Lou asks Chief Wiggum why he wanted to become a cop. Wiggum tells him that he had lots of reasons, including the chance to do his part for society, do good for mankind, experience the thrill of the chase, and be part of the action on the field of honor. He then says that mostly, he did it for the badge and the dignity and respect the badge carries. Unbeknownst to him and Lou, Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney have been removing the wheels from the car during the conversation before running off. Lou then asks if Wiggum ever thinks about raiding the evidence locker and retiring to Mexico, which Wiggum says he thinks about every day.
