Simon & Garfunkel
Band Information

Simon & Garfunkel were an American music duo consisting of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.

History

The episode Lady Bouvier's Lover contains several references to scenes from the film "The Graduate", to which Simon & Garfunkel provided the soundtrack; the closing song of that episode is a parody of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence".[1]

Mr. Burns once sang "Hello, lamp lost, whatcha knowin'? I've come to watch your power flowin'", a reference to Simon & Garfunkel's song "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)".[2]

While attempting to sell Sprinkle King hose nozzles, Principal Skinner said that the Sprinkle King, Sprinkle Queen and Sprinkle King Deluxe were "the Simon & Garfunkel plus one of hose nozzle dispersal arrays"..[3]
