AABF CABF

BABF is the twelfth production season of The Simpsons. Mike Scully served as the showrunner for most the season, while Al Jean and George Meyer served as showrunners alongside Scully for BABF01, BABF19, and BABF21. The episodes mostly aired in broadcast season 11 on Fox, with four rollover episodes from the production season airing in broadcast season 12. The episodes aired from October 31, 1999 with "Treehouse of Horror X", to January 7, 2001 with "HOMЯ".

"Behind the Laughter" takes a behind-the-scenes look at The Simpsons. We see Homer's shoddily directed pilot episode before he becomes addicted to prescription drugs, Marge makes bizarre business investments, and Bart goes to rehab. The show is put on hiatus after the family splits up, and Lisa writes a book about her ordeal.

In "G-G-Ghost D-D-Dad", Homer chokes to death on a piece of broccoli and his ghost must perform a good deed in order to enter Heaven. In "Scary Tales Can Come True", the Simpsons live in a Pumpkin House in the enchanted forest, and in "Night of the Dolphin", the world is overtaken by dolphins after Lisa frees their leader from captivity.

An X-ray reveals that Homer has a crayon lodged in his brain that has been there since childhood. Upon removal of the crayon, Homer's IQ suddenly jumps to a very high level; he and Lisa form a great new bond, but when his way of life changes drastically, he wonders whether removing the crayon was a good idea.
