BABF DABF

CABF is the thirteenth production season of The Simpsons. Mike Scully served as the showrunner for the season. The episodes mostly aired in broadcast season 12 on Fox, with five rollover episodes from the production season airing in broadcast season 13. The episodes aired from November 19, 2000 with "Lisa the Tree Hugger", to December 9, 2001 with "The Blunder Years".

Eager to join Dirt First after witnessing their pro-vegetarianism demonstration atop a local Krusty Burger, Lisa attempts to prove her worth by camping out in a giant redwood destined for logging. Meanwhile, Bart joins the workforce in order to buy a new game console advertised on television.

Homer buys a computer and builds a website where he anonymously spreads local rumors, and makes things up when his sources run dry. When one of these fake stories turns out to be true, Homer is kidnapped and transported to "The Island", a place where those who know too much are taken out of society.

Short on funds, Homer approaches Mr. Burns for a raise. But when Burns grants his request on the condition that Homer act as his personal jester, Homer finds himself in a series of degrading and embarrassing situations.

Marge feels sympathy for an inmate she meets at a prison rodeo and vouches for him at his parole hearing to try to assist his reentry into the real world. Meanwhile, Homer starts his own chiropractic business.

When a large snowstorm buries Springfield Elementary in snow, the children are trapped inside for the holidays and soon rebel against Principal Skinner. Homer and Ned Flanders try to rescue them, using Flanders' car.

Instead of buying a casket for his father, Homer uses the money to build a tennis court instead. Springfield wants to use the court for a tennis tournament, which all of the family members enter. But when teams are divided, the family gets competitive with each other and recruits professional tennis players to play in their places.

Despite being banned forever from The Android's Dungeon, Bart and Milhouse take over its management when Comic Book Guy suffers from a heart attack. Meanwhile, Comic Book Guy, on the road to recovery, receives tips from Homer on making friends.

After Homer discovers that the Springfield Isotopes are being moved to Albuquerque, the evidence of the move is covered up. Homer stages a hunger strike outside the stadium to force Howard K. Duff to admit the truth. However, his strike turns him into an attraction for the stadium.

In a desperate search for food, Homer finds a box of thirty-year-old animal crackers, which contains a gold giraffe—meaning he has just won an African safari for him and his family.

Homer's thumb is cut off following breakfast, and the story follows three different paths. Homer's day: as he and Marge race to get his thumb reattached. Lisa's day: as she misses the bus and tries to get to school so that she can win the science fair. Bart's day: as he and Milhouse make use of a stash of fireworks that Fat Tony has illegally smuggled into the country. In the end, their respective paths come together.

While recovering at home from an injury, Homer finds he is good at caring for pets and babysitting the Flanders children, so much so that he starts a daycare center, which gets him nominated for an award for service to the community. But Bart and Lisa feel neglected through all of this and are determined to thwart his award campaign.

The family wins a trip to Delaware, but Homer refuses to pay the tax on the tickets, so they ride the rails and meet a hobo who sings and tells them some tall tales. The first story is the tale of Paul Bunyan, with Homer as the lumberjack. The second story is Connie Appleseed, with Lisa playing the role of Connie. The final story is of Tom Sawyer (Bart) and Huckleberry Finn (Nelson).

Homer's new job as the author of fortune cookies assures Mr. Burns that love is on the horizon. He finds it in a woman named Gloria, whom he loves so much that he wants to marry her. But as he proposes to Gloria, her ex, who turns out to be Snake, shows up after just breaking out of prison.

In "Hex and the City", after insulting a gypsy, Homer and the family must deal with her curse. In "House of Whacks," the Simpsons buy a computerized upgrade for their house, and the house develops an obsessive attraction to Marge. In "Wiz Kids", wizards Bart and Lisa are caught in an evil plot by the Dark Lord Montymort.

When Moe visits his old bartending school to rediscover his passion for the business, Homer is charged with keeping tabs on Moe's Tavern. But when Moe returns and decides to make his tavern more hip and modern, a disgruntled Homer opens his own bar in his own garage.

A restaurant hypnotist causes Homer to relive a traumatic childhood experience where, upon swimming in a quarry, he found a dead body. That dead body turned out to be Smithers' father, Waylon Smithers, Sr., who had disappeared twenty-five years earlier under suspicious circumstances. Meanwhile, Marge finds herself attracted to Burly, the mascot for Burly Paper Towels.

Bart appears in court to stand trial for joyriding in Chief Wiggum's police car. But just before he is set free, a second, vindictive judge named Constance Harm assumes the case and sentences him to be tethered to Homer around the clock.
