WABF is the twenty-ninth production season of The Simpsons. Al Jean served as the showrunner for most of the season while Matt Selman served as the showrunner for WABF04, WABF05, WABF11, WABF17, and WABF22. The episodes mostly aired in broadcast season 28 on Fox, with seven rollover episodes from the production season airing in broadcast season 29. The episodes aired from November 20, 2016 with "Dad Behavior", to November 19, 2017 with "Singin' in the Lane".

WABF03 "The Last Traction Hero" December 4, 2016 Bob Anderson Bill Odenkirk S28 E9 A workplace accident leaves Homer in a cast and in a position to sue Mr. Burns. This leaves Marge unfulfilled, so she turns to an unexpected source for romance. Meanwhile, Lisa is made "Bus Monitor" and tries to keep the peace, but power starts to go to her head. WABF04 "The Great Phatsby: Part One" January 15, 2017 Chris Clements Dan Greaney S28 E12 Mr. Burns tries to relive his glory days and crosses paths with a mysterious music mogul. Burns is then conned by him and reduced to bankruptcy. Meanwhile, Lisa is courted by the richest kid in town, and Smithers begins a perilous journey. WABF09 "Kamp Krustier" March 5, 2017 Rob Oliver David M. Stern S28 E16 When Bart and Lisa return home abruptly after a traumatic incident at Kamp Krusty, they put an end to Homer and Marge's romantic encounters. Without sex to distract him, Homer becomes a more productive worker and caring husband, but Marge misses the old Homer. Then, Bart and Lisa return to camp to confront the source of their trauma. Cohen S28 E17 In this sports documentary, Bart goes from delinquent with detention to the star basketball player at Springfield Elementary. Lisa covers Bart's success for the school paper, and Homer becomes the team's coach. Things go awry when Bart gets involved with the mafia. WABF11 "A Father's Watch" March 19, 2017 Bob Anderson Simon Rich S28 E18 Worried that Bart is destined for failure, Marge turns to a series of parenting "experts" for advice. Homer decides to cash in on one expert's advice by opening up a trophy store in Springfield. Meanwhile, Bart finds some needed encouragement from Grampa, who gives him a precious watch coveted by Homer. But when Homer excels at teaching, he is poached by Bourbon Verlander to teach for him. WABF14 "Moho House" May 7, 2017 Matthew Nastuk Jeff Martin S28 E21 Homer and Marge attempt to work on their marriage, not knowing that Mr. Burns and Nigel have a bet on whether Nigel can break them apart. With the successful, albeit unconventional, help of Moe, the couple gets back their mojo. Guest starring: Valerie Harper as the pancake syrup lady and Michael York as Nigel. WABF15 "Dogtown" May 21, 2017 Steven Dean Moore J. Stewart Burns S28 E22 When Homer's court case determines that a dog's life is more valuable than a human's, the status of man's best friend rises in Springfield. When the dogs recognize their new position of power, they assert their dominance over the humans and take over the town. Guest starring: Michael York as Lionel Budgie. WABF16 "Whistler's Father" October 15, 2017 Matthew Faughnan Tom Gammill and Max Pross S29 E3 Homer discovers that Maggie is a whistling savant and launches her baby-celebrity career. Meanwhile, Marge impresses Fat Tony with her interior design taste, and he hires her to style his brothel. WABF17 "The Serfsons" October 1, 2017 Rob Oliver Brian Kelley S29 E1 In the kingdom of Springfieldia, Homer is tasked by Marge to raise the money to buy an Amulet of Warmfyre for her mother to stop her from succumbing to an Ice Walker disease. WABF18 "Treehouse of Horror XXVIII" October 22, 2017 Timothy Bailey John Frink S29 E4 In "The Exor-Sis", Maggie gets possessed by the demon Pazuzu after a statuette is bought by the Simpsons. In "Coralisa", Lisa discovers a creepy/perfect version of her family in an alternate universe after following Snowball through a secret tunnel. Finally, in "MMM... Homer", Homer cannibalizes himself after accidentally finding out that his cooked flesh is tasty. Meanwhile, Principal Skinner discovers that his mother has kept the fact he was accepted into Ohio State University secret from him since his teenage years. WABF20 "The Old Blue Mayor She Ain't What She Used to Be" November 12, 2017 Matthew Nastuk Tom Gammill and Max Pross S29 E6 Frustrated with the local government, Marge decides to run for Mayor. But to win public support, she begins making Homer the butt of her jokes, causing a strain on their relationship. WABF21 "Singin' in the Lane" November 19, 2017 Michael Polcino Ryan Koh S29 E7 Homer and the guys reunite their old bowling team to cheer up Moe, only to end up in fierce competition with a team of arrogant millionaires. Meanwhile, Lisa and Marge try to teach Bart that money isn't everything. WABF22 "Springfield Splendor" October 8, 2017 Matthew Faughnan Tim Long and Miranda Thompson S29 E2 Marge and Lisa turn Lisa's sad experience into a successful graphic novel-turned-Broadway show. However, the two of them have a falling out when they struggle with creative differences and their own egos.
