Sesame Street

Sesame Street is an educational television program designed for preschoolers, and is recognized as a pioneer of the contemporary standard which combines education and entertainment in children's television shows.

(According to the DVD commentary, the character name changes were done for legal reasons.) 13 284 "Blame It on Lisa" After seeing Teleboobies, Marge shows her disgust for the show's blatant on-screen sexuality, saying, "Bert and Ernie left it to your imagination.". 14 313 "Moe Baby Blues" Maggie has a Tickle-me-Elmo. 15 334 "Bart-Mangled Banner" Elmo is in the prison the Simpsons are in for unpatriotic behaviour. He later hung himself. 17 358 "The Girl Who Slept Too Little" Marge admits her dislike for the Count when a clip of him is shown on TV. 250px 18 398 "Stop or My Dog Will Shoot!" Chief Wiggum has a sweater he knitted that shows Big Bird pushing Elmo into a saw. 19 408 "Funeral for a Fiend" Moe watches the DVD in the Hibbert's car, showing Big Bird in China. He wonders if Grover would be lonely, but it turns out he is with Derek Jeter. 410 "E Pluribus Wiggum" When Ralph is voted as a candidate, Chief Wiggum tries to help him make up his mind about which party to support, stating that the Republican party's mascot is an elephant, and the Democrats mascot is a donkey. When asking who he likes better, Ralph says that he likes Elmo. On a talk show, it is asked if Ralph can go from Sesame Street to Pennsylvania Avenue. 414 "Dial "N" for Nerder" Maggie switches to Elmo's website after realizing the family may be watching her play online poker. 20 436 "Eeny Teeny Maya, Moe" Costumed versions of Big Bird, Elmo and Count von Count are waiting for the rink to clear to perform Sesame Street on Ice. 21 454 "The Color Yellow" Ralph's picture includes Elmo. 461 "To Surveil With Love" Maggie is seen watching a security camera which she thinks is Sesame Street, but is actually a gay bar with people who looks similar to Bert, Ernie, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. 250px 22 468 "Treehouse of Horror XXI" In Dracula-la Land, Count von Count is seen biting Big Bird for blood. 24 509 "Moonshine River" Milhouse mentioned that Sesame Street takes place in New York. 523 "Black-Eyed, Please" Homer watches Sesame Street with Ned's parents Ned, Sr. and Mona while the trio smoke marijuana.

Picture Reference The Simpsons appeared in the celebrity version of the Sesame Street song "Monster in the Mirror". The Simpson family replace two monsters on a wall painting, and at the end, Homer reprimands Bart (who yells "Hey, wubba man!" to Grover).
