Butters Stotch, as Professor Chaos, tries to get the town to 'pay' by attempting what he thinks are diabolical schemes, but he finds that all of his ideas were already done on The Simpsons:
Butters will bury a skeleton with wings so people will think it's an angel, as seen in "Lisa the Skeptic".
By the end of the episode, Butters has been driven insane and begins seeing the townspeople and geography of South Park as they would look on the Simpsons. The South Park characters and their Simpsons counterparts Butters' sees in his hallucinations are listed below:
