A The Simpsons content pack, featuring 24 characters from The Simpsons was released on February 27, 2015 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.^[1]

April Fools

For April Fools' Day 2019, in the 3D Shareware v1.34 joke update for Java Edition (which is set in 1994), two of Bart Simpson's catchphrases appear as splash texts, "Cowabunga!" and "Have a cow, man!".

In-show parody

The couch gag for the season 25 episode "Luca$" is a parody of Minecraft, entitled Simpcraft.
In season 29, in the episode "The Serfsons" the Mundane potion appears.
In the episode "No Good Read Goes Unpunished", Tunnelcraft is a parody of Minecraft; Tunnelcraft-Con is similar to the yearly MINECON event.
In "Halloween of Horror", Database is dressed as Minecraft's main character.
