"Treehouse of Horror XXXVII" is an upcoming episode of broadcast season 38 of The Simpsons. It's directed by David Silverman.[1]
Production[edit]
The producers wanted to make "Treehouse of Horror" episodes genuinely scary. There will be a stop-motion sequence by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios that is a parody of A Nightmare Before Christmas. One segment will be a mashup between the film Freaky Friday and the Stephen King book Pet Sematary where Bart and Santa's Little Helper swap bodies. The episode will feature an argument whether Bart should be referred to as "Bart Dog" or "Dog Bart", which was based on a real argument between writers Tim Long and Jessica Conrad.[3]
