McDonald's is a fast food chain.

History[edit]

Bart Simpson was asked to ship 500 McDonald's Big Macs from Hong Kong to Marlon Brando's island when he briefly worked as a courier.^[1]

During a conversation at Krusty Burger, Officer Lou mentioned that he had visited a McDonald's restaurant in Shelbyville and explained that the chain had more than 2,000 locations throughout the state. He described several differences between McDonald's and Krusty Burger, noting that a Krusty Burger with cheese was equivalent to a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, while Krusty Burger's partially gelatinated non-dairy beverages were called shakes at McDonald's.^[2]

There were very few McDonald's locations in Springfield because Fat Tony had a deal with Krusty to keep all McDonald's and Burger Kings out of Springfield.^[3]

One was located in Marge's old district^[4] and one in Springfield Heights.^[5] in Springfield.^[4]

The Simpsons once ate at a McDonald's located next to the Tower of Pisa in Italy. Wine was served there. Homer marveled at the fact that it was "a McDonald's where you could get drunk!"^[6]
