− | + | Season 8 aired in October and November of 1997, with "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show" airing beforehand in September. Once again, the Treehouse of Horror episode was delayed, however this one would air in season nine, not ten like the others. Another holdover for season nine was "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious". Season eight's "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular" aired this season.

+ | == Season 10 == | ||
+ | Unlike most seasons so far, every season 10 episode aired here, between November and December of 1999, ending on the 27th with three Treehouse of Horror episodes. Oddly, season 9's "Simpson Tide" aired in May, five months before the rest of the episodes, and five since the also oddly placed season 9 finale. Other episodes from season 9 are "The Last Temptation of Krust" and "Das Bus", and season five's "Cape Feare" also aired here. Another odd placements occurred in January 2000 with season nine's "All Singing, All Dancing".

This is a list of Die Simpsons episodes by broadcast order.
For a list of episodes in production order, see List of episodes by production order and for the original US broadcast see List of episodes.
Contents
Season 1 & 2[edit]
The first two seasons of the show were aired together, starting in September 1991 and ending in June 1992. The episodes did not remain in their original US order, though the seasons remained separated. New episodes aired every Friday.
|
Season 3[edit]
Season three aired in 1993, with "Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes?" being replaced by season four's "A Streetcar Named Marge". Most weeks had four new episodes, airing Monday through Thursday.
|
Season 4[edit]
Germany's season four was one episode shorter than the original, airing in 1994. It started with "Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes?", which was pre-empted from season 3 and replaced by season four's "A Streetcar Named Marge". Also, "Last Exit to Springfield" and "The Front" were bumped to season seven, with season five's "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" moving forward to this season. This season new episode's aired every Thursday.
|
Season 5 & 6[edit]
Seasons five and six aired back-to-back, lasting from April to December, 1995. By the end of season six, the German season was five episodes behind. Much like every season, the episodes generally aired in order and within their original seasons. "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" aired with season four, "Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One)" aired in season seven, while "Cape Feare" and "Treehouse of Horror V" would not air till season ten, on a Treehouse of Horror night.
|
Season 7[edit]
Season 7 aired in 1996, and aired within a two month period. "Treehouse of Horror VI" was pushed back until a Treehouse of Horror night in 1999. "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular" would be pushed back a season. Meanwhile season four's "The Front" and "Last Exit to Springfield" aired as the first and last episode, while "Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One)" aired with its second half here.
|
Season 8[edit]
Season 8 aired in October and November of 1997, with "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show" airing beforehand in September.
|
Season 9[edit]
Season 9 aired in October and early November of 1998, with the exception of "Lisa the Simpson which aired on New Year's Eve. Season eight's "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(Annoyed Grunt)cious" and "Treehouse of Horror VII" aired here, while six episodes ("All Singing, All Dancing", "The Joy of Sect", "Das Bus", "The Last Temptation of Krust", "This Little Wiggy" and "Simpson Tide") were delayed till later seasons.
|
Season 10[edit]
Unlike most seasons so far, every season 10 episode aired here, between November and December of 1999, ending on the 27th with three Treehouse of Horror episodes.
|
Season 11[edit]
A notable fact about Germany's airing of season eleven is their return to weekly episodes over the multiple, meaning the season lasted five months instead of one. Pre-empted in May by season nine's "This Little Wiggy", the season kicked off in September 2000 and culminated in February 2001. Also notable about this season is that for the first time since season two the number of episodes equals the number of episodes aired in the US, with all bumped episodes finally being aired.
