35ABF is the thirty-sixth production season of The Simpsons. Matt Selman served as the showrunner for most of the season while Al Jean served as the showrunner for 35ABF03, 35ABF08, 35ABF10, and 35ABF16. Half of the episodes aired in broadcast season 35 on Fox, with seven rollover episodes from the production season airing in broadcast season 36 and four episodes releasing as Disney+ exclusives. The episodes aired from December 3, 2023 with "Ae Bonny Romance", to April 22, 2025 with "Yellow Planet".

Homer starts winning in many different blue-collar sports when Bart helps him by cheating. Meanwhile, Lisa is trying to get into a university summer camp but doesn't receive any responses. When she finally gets a response from a rowing camp of all things, she and Marge realize that the cheating in sports has extended to cheating elsewhere.

After Groundskeeper Willie goes missing, Bart gets a call from him telling Bart that he needs him. The Simpsons then go to Edinburgh to find him, where they realize that Willie is getting married to his young love, Maisie. Meanwhile, Lisa explores Edinburgh on her own.

Professor Frink secretly helps Homer land a high-level position at a state-of-the-art nuclear plant in Shelbyville. Homer's new assistant, Lori Spivak, becomes highly suspicious of Homer and believes him to be lying.

Annoyed at being asked for a tip after being served a meal, Homer's passive aggressive note on the bill is mistaken for a tip for $10,000. The rush of seeing the waitress happy causes Homer to start tipping money that he does not have. But when the bills catch up to him, Homer ends up in Little Europe, where tipping culture is not a thing.

In "The Fall of the House of Monty", a Victorian Mr. Burns is jump-scared on Thanksgiving by the ghosts of his abused workers. Finally, in "Denim", Homer bonds with a pair of extra-terrestrial jeans that fit him perfectly.

A tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories. In the first story, Bart hears a buried woman screaming in the woods, but nobody believes him. In the second story, Superintendent Chalmers purchases a robot clone of himself, but then finds out Principal Skinner has done the same thing. In the final story, Homer is part of the Springfield Firehouse, who burn all lowbrow media they find.

Luann's friends hold an intervention because of her addiction to wine merch, Malibu Stacy goes in search of Shauna Chalmers, Mrs. Muntz tells Nelson a bedtime story, Marge asks Homer to buy her tampons, Patty and Selma struggle with a cigarette shortage, Dr. Hibbert and Bernice roleplay to spice up their relationship, Mrs. Risotto becomes a lawyer, Lisa dreams about being queen of a fantasy world, Agnes tries to find a new rival, Helen Lovejoy thinks the world is ending, and the school teachers make bets on students.

Famed British mentalist, Derren Brown, comes to Springfield and uses psychological tricks and showmanship to raise the town's Christmas spirit. When Homer gets hypnotized and mistakenly believes he is Santa Claus, it sets off a cheery chain reaction and causes everyone to question what they believe and to explore the meaning of "miracle".
