The Rocket's Red Glare is a temporary questline in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was introduced in the 4th July 2013 content update. It unlocks All-American Apu, Rex Banner and the Nighthawk Diner.

After starting the update The Fourth of July is coming! When Americans celebrate their country by brazenly flaunting their contempt for its anti-fireworks ordinances! And Apu's All-American Kwik-E-Mart and Fireworks Megastore leads the way! I'd better get in costume. Message You'll find a new outfit for Apu in your inventory! New Skin: All-American Apu Quest reward: 100 and 10

Pt. 2[edit]

After tapping on All-American Apu's exclamation mark My fireworks customers demand the biggest explosions, triggered by the most unpredictable fuses money can buy! If this town doesn't lose at least three fingers every year, I haven't done my job. Task: "Make All-American Apu Stock Up on Illegal Fireworks". The job takes place at a Kwik-E-Mart and takes 24 hours. Quest reward: 100 and 10

After tapping on Apu's exclamation mark Stocking this many explosives in such close proximity to cigarette-smoking twelve-year-olds is dangerous. I better sell these fireworks fast! Task: "Make All-American Apu Turn a Profit". The job takes place at a Kwik-E-Mart and takes 12 hours. Task: "Send Springfield Residents to Buy Fireworks" (x15). If I stop blowing up M-80s even for a moment, then the Soviet Union wins and our Founding Fathers got their heads chopped off for nothing. Maybe some coffee will wake you up. After tapping on Rex Banner's exclamation mark Citizens of Springfield, fear not! No longer will airborne displays of Technicolor splendor haunt your nights! Federal agent Rex Banner!? Here to stop the flow of illegal fireworks into Springfield and bring the Bottle Rocket Barons to their knees. Well, that'll be nice. They're kind of a nuisance. Nuisance? You call sporadic incidents of mild to moderate noise pollution a NUISANCE? It's the greatest threat to the American way of life since loitering! Time to round up the likely suspects. Task: "Make Rex Banner Interrogate Flanders". The job requires Ned and takes 8 hours. Quest reward: 100 and 10

After tapping on Apu's exclamation mark This holiday is proving most profitable! I've traced the fireworks to this Kwik-E-Mart. Time to see what we can see... Great Ganesh! Super-cop Rex Banner is hot on my trail! I'd better hide the evidence. Task: "Make Apu Hide the Fireworks Behind the Malt Liquor". The job takes place at a Kwik-E-Mart and takes 4 hours. Come clean -- you're the one they call the Rocket Rajah. The Bengal Blaster. Pyrotechnic 'Pu. I see. Because of my ethnicity and name, you assume this person must be me. That, sir, is profiling! I'm an old-timey cop. Profiling is ninety percent of my skill set. And we call it by its proper name: good ol' red-blooded, American racism. I've just found an old town law from 1803 which expressly permits "the sale and detonation of pyrotechnic devices for one month following June 4." What's so special about the Fourth of June? June 4th was King George III of England's birthday. Springfield was the only town in the nation that voted 182 times to return to British rule. We've always been America's cowards. Well, if memory serves, there's one thing this town is still good for. Task: "Make Rex Banner Eat a Banana Kaboom". The job takes 4 hours. Quest reward: 100 and 10

It would seem that the bell has been transported through time, I deduce- We don't always need an explanation! All I need to know is that there's a bell and that I'm going to ring it! ... Hey! It broke! ...Lousy British workmanship. Ah well, might as well put this somewhere. Task: "Place the Liberty Bell". Quest reward: 100 and 10
