The Fly is a 1958 science fiction horror movie by Kurt Neumann based on a short story by George Langelaan. The plot follows a scientist who accidentally mutates himself into a fly. One version of himself has a fly's head and paw but an otherwise human body, the other has the body of a fly with his head. The picture also had Vincent Price in a supporting role. In 1986, the film was remade by David Cronenberg starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. Both films have been frequently referenced on The Simpsons.
