The couch gag was nominated for a 2013 Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production, along with Guillermo del Toro, Guy Davis and Ralph Sosa, who all storyboarded it. However, it lost to Toy Story of Terror!
