Bob Newhart had a recurring guest role on The Big Bang Theory as Professor Proton, which he has reprised for Young Sheldon. He voiced himself in the Season 7 episode "Bart the Fink".
Professor Stephen Hawking guest-starred as himself in several episodes of The Big Bang Theory. He voiced himself in five episodes of The Simpsons, the first one being the Season 10 episode "They Saved Lisa's Brain".
